A.C.M.E!!
Just when we thought everyone would spend the lazy Saturday morning sleeping alittle longer while giving us time to set up our booth, we were wrong….
The crowd at the A.C.M.E 2010 were merciless. +A+
But it was a great event altogether!
The main highlights at the event were the WS card tournament and the Touhou Hisoutensoku Tournament. Lots of hype from the lot of them too.
The Charafest queue was quite scary in a way, people started booking their queue positions from as early as Friday night. They started streaming in at about 11am and slowly filled up the place.

There were quite a number of artist booths there as well, such as Comix Pandora, CDS, Comics Society, Dokidoki and many others. All selling really awesome artworks and products.
Our booth were really cozy 3ft x 3ft tables. Our dear 0filia had a really fun time preparing our booth with chains…

"Hmmm, how shall i bind this bugger...?"
This time round, Daiyaku’s having the Black Rock Shooter Fan Tribute Project as announced somewhere in Cosfest. Response to the Tribute Package was a good one. To the point that people were asking whether to buy the A1 poster we pasted on the wall which isn’t intended for sale.

Black Rock Shooter Folder Design
But a heads up for those who wanted to buy our A1 poster back at the event;
We’ll be selling 2 sizes: A1 and A3.
A1-> $20
A3-> $7

And finally,
To all those who visited/purchased our products at our booth, we want to say a big THANK YOU!
EOY (Dec 09) -> SOY (Jan 10) -> Starfest (Jun 10) -> Cosfest (Jul 10) -> A.C.M.E (Aug 10)
5 events in a year can really shag one out. ^^;
Well, there’s only 2 of us. So we’ll be taking a short break from events for some time. Till then, we’ll be pushing online sales for orders, so do keep a lookout for us on the net.
We’re currently making our final preparations on our new website. So do stay tuned on that as well.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time!
From,
DaiyakU!
It’s been 365 days and Daiyaku has finally turned a year old!
Before we even say anything else, we would want to give our thanks to you!:- Our supporters and customers for your time and support which molded Daiyaku to what it is today!
We would like to say a big
Thank you!
For those who’re new, Daiyaku was formed on this day: 21st July 2009 by 2 buggers artists: 0filia and Jiemi.
Throughout the year, we’ve been going through events such as EOY, displaying our works and promoting our products and projects.
Of course, just to let you guys know alittle more about Daiyaku’s Vision:
- To create awareness and a breakthrough in Singapore’s Local Art Community on the growing popularity of the Japanese Anime/Manga Art scene.
In other words, we have formed this group not just to sell our works and be popular…..yet. In fact, we weren’t really in for profit in the first place. We are basically just 2 nonsensical peeps doing things people don’t usually see. The money we earn is just to fund our efforts to inspire others with new-found concepts (some new, some old) such as ‘Installation Art’ and other crazy interesting ideas for not just for people to view, but for them to feel and experience the artwork itself.
So far we have done up installation works in our very first debut in EOY 09:

- Miniature Concert Stage for Hatsune Miku and her ‘army’
We have one more ‘artwork’ for you to look forward to coming your way in A.C.M.E 2010, in tribute to Black Rock Shooter!
So check us out at the A.C.M.E II!

Weeks after Starfest, Cosfest IX is finally over~! XD
To be honest, it was quite a disappointment for us both.
We had big plans for our booth at Cosfest but we had to scrap off lots of ideas due to some things which weren’t authorized by the organisers at cosfest, and as a result, our booth looks really bare throughout the 2 days.
But not to worry!
We’ll definitely be looking forward to A.C.M.E (A Certain Magical Event), and the organisers are a very nice and friendly bunch. And hence, we’ll be pushing our Finale of our “Black Rock Shooter’ Fan Tribute Project to be concluded at the A.C.M.E itself! >w<!!!
Do check out the details of the event here:
http://acme.sg/
*To some of the customers who pre-ordered the package, i may have given you the wrong web address. Sorry about that. ^^; I’ve sent an email to all the customers who pre-ordered the package to acknowledge your purchase. Thank you guys/girls so much! =)
But most importantly, we want to thank all of our friends, customers and visitors at our booth for your time and support! We wouldn’t have done it without you guys/girls!
Do Stay Tuned as we bring you updates as we’re nearing A.C.M.E on the 28th if August! =)
The Daiyaku Team
First of all,
Our deepest apologies to you all as the FINALE for our current fan project: Black Rock Shooter has been postponed to A.C.M E due to some unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
But no worries, we’ll be bringing you more things to look out for in the next event as we come up with more interesting products made just for you, which will be made available for PRE-ORDER.
So look out for us at Cosfest 2010 as we present to you the next instalment following our project debut in STARFEST!
Stay tuned!!
(Picture taken down as Finale has been postponed to A.C.M.E.)

Daiyaku feat. Ume
Look out for us at Cosfest IX this weekend as we present to you works in tribute to Huke’s BLACK ROCK SHOOTER.
BLACK ROCK SHOOTER, hitori ja nai yo… (You’re not alone…)
As good people like you are going about on their everyday lives, people like 0filia and jiemi went over to the Millienia Walk and unwillingly made alot of kids unhappy. Not that we mean it, but there was a Digital Art Contest held as part of the Pokemon TCG national championships in Millenia Walk, and the prizes seem alittle too tempting to turn away from; Wacom tablets. >w<!!!
0filia came across this competition and we decided to give it a try ourselves.
We started work in mid-June and hogged the demo-stations throughout 2-3 whole days.
And as we were working on our pieces….
Yes… no kidding, it’s an overgrown Pikachu, together with his good-for-nothing proud trainer, Ash Ketchum. But no need to be afraid of his hypersensitive cheeks, he’s quite cute, especially since his ears can move and he tends to bounce whenever he walks.
Okay, back to topic.
We took quite some time to draw our pieces and finally, after 2-3 days of drinking 3 cups of Ice-blended Mocha, 2 cups of popcorn and 1 bowl of Bak Chor Mee each, here’s the works we came up with:
(Jirachi (Pokemon Diamond Ver.) by 0filia
Mareep and Dawn (Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver) by 0filia
Suicune (Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver) by jiemi
Here’s the links to high-res copies:
There were quite afew serious contenders too.
And the end results….
Jiemi got 2nd place
and
0filia got Champion.
Each of us won a Wacom Intuos 4 (S) and (M) respectively.
All in all, it was a great experience. =)
Yepp,
And just for your info, we’re getting prepared for Cosfest IX real soon.
So stay tuned!
Finally, STARFEST has made it’s close for the year. Enjoyable experience in a way, though some stuff gave us some inconveniences, still, it’s great. =)
Here we can see our dear friend 0filia meticulously tending to the booth with her sidekick jiemi tending to her iphone camera.
We’ve been selling stuff back from our previous events such as illustrations and stuff. But We’ve also taken this opportunity to promote our upcoming project of ‘BLACK*ROCK SHOOTER’ due in COSFEST with teaser illustrations and artcards.
STARFEST has been quite lively on the 5th, with semi-finalists giving out performances which they did in Korea (which sadly our comrade ‘jiemi’ has apparently no idea what was going on) for the World Cosplay Summit. It was very entertaining to see those performances as the semi-finalists made fights, soap dramas and splits (ow…).
Customers there were quite lively too, tons of kids especially as they squealed in delight seeing light-sabers, AK-47s (no worries, they’re just replicas, not imported from Russia), Kamen Rider suits, Neko ears, dollies and other interesting toys.
We’ve also managed to meet and catch up with people from the local Japanese Pop Culture community, such as the BANZAI! Effect, Tueac, etc.
Yepp, all in all, we all had a great experience.
But we’re not done yet!!
Do look out for us at COSFEST 2010 as we bring you more surprises and products coming your way!
We’ll soon be uploading our products and pre-ordering instructions in the near future. So do stay tuned!
The Daiyaku Team!
